One has to be crazy to want to visit Texas in the August heat......we need six months out of CT, so off we went. Temps are usually between 93-98, so we became regulars at the pool.
Leo came with us, sans Andrew, and he got a taste of the brutal heat. Tried to keep him busy; Here are some photos:

We flew to Arizona to see my high school friends, Doreen & Bill, and they celebrated their 40th Anniversary with a wonderful party at Maggiano's in Scottsdale.

Stayed a few days with them in Oracle and had a great time, as usual.
Then, on to Phoenix, to celebrate Tony's Uncle George's 90th Birthday, which was celebrated at the famous Arizona Biltmore Mansion. This magnificent home can be rented out, for a mere $3000 per night, and $10,000 on Super Bowl weekend !!!
It was purchased for $ 4.5 million, from foreclosure; It is 18,000 square feet, with 9 bedrooms, 11 bathrooms, 3 kitchens, a wine cellar, billiard room, exercise room, media room, pool and hot tub, outdoor fireplaces, his & her master showers, .....but the Rolls Royce in the garage is NOT for rent.
