SUMMER 2013

We sold our house in mid June, in 2 days, to a cash buyer, no less !  We had to scramble to vacate in less than 5 weeks, and find a place to rent until we figure out what's next for us.  We found a decent condo in Danbury, but it won't be ready until September 1st, so we are homeless for the summer.....Thanks to TZ's cousin Dolores, we were offered a 2 bedroom apartment in New Jersey, which is over her home.

We took some trips to visit with friends and family; One of the trips was to Coventry, CT, where cousins Bonnie & Mark have a lakefront home, and we took the boys up for a few days. Unfortunately, Bonnie & Mark were not there, as her mother was very ill and passed away, and they had to fly down to Florida to be with her.  It was bittersweet to be at such a great place on the lake, but not have them there with us.

However, we kept the boys busy with swimming, fishing and boating and I think they had a good time:

Now Andrew, this is how it's done....

But can't I catch them with THIS ??

With AJ, but only at the shoreline.....

We headed back to Texas for a few weeks before we move - it was like living in a sauna for the first week.  August is NOT the time to visit!

We rearranged our artwork in the living room:

During one night, I clocked TZ in the eye with my elbow, when we both turned over at the same time in bed:

Gotta keep him in line.......

TZ had a new project:  he changed the flags to hang from a solar lit flagpole, instead of from the building;  Had to sink the 10 gauge telescoping pole in concrete - came out great:

Another project:

TZ hung his collection of branding irons:

Visited with friends from Colorado, who bought a house and moved down to East Texas, near us:

The weather is improving - high 80's and low 90's.  Have been catching up with friends....stay tuned !
